Perforated Square Quilting with Raised Surface Definition

XZ73418 combines a perforated PVC surface with square geometric quilting, creating a raised decorative structure that is visually different from flat embossed automotive leather. The foam beneath the surface allows the stitched areas to form clearer high-and-low relief, while contrasting or matching thread colors can be selected according to the seat design. Perforation layout, stitch spacing, quilting size and color combinations can also be adjusted for different automotive interior programs.

0.7mm PVC with 5mm Foam and Reinforced Backing

Quilted automotive material must provide enough volume for the pattern without becoming unnecessarily difficult to cut or sew. The 0.7mm PVC surface keeps the face material relatively manageable, while the 5mm foam layer provides the depth needed to support the quilted pattern. A 100D terry backing and 75 gsm nonwoven support layer add structure to the composite during embroidery, cutting and upholstery processing.

For seat-panel production, the full composite thickness should be considered before bulk cutting because quilted sections are thicker and less flexible than ordinary flat PVC leather. Pattern direction, seam allowance and the transition between quilted and plain leather should therefore be checked during sample making.

XZ73418 is particularly suitable for car seat center panels, backrests, seat covers, door-panel inserts and selected decorative automotive interior sections.

In these applications, customers normally need to consider more than the appearance of the quilted pattern. Important project requirements can include pattern alignment, perforation stability, seam strength, abrasion resistance, tear resistance, foam recovery and finished-panel thickness. Perforated materials also require attention around stitching lines because sewing too close to existing perforations can affect stitch placement and local tear behavior.

Quilted automotive panels should be matched to the actual seat shape rather than selected only by appearance. Pattern direction, foam thickness, perforation layout and finished composite thickness can affect cutting accuracy, sewing and the visual alignment of the final seat panel.

For projects where XZ73418 is combined with plain automotive leather, sample panels are recommended to check the thickness transition, seam position and pattern alignment before bulk production.
