K646 Automotive Grain with Matte Surface

XZ73205 features a K646 automotive grain with a compact leather-like texture and matte finish. The surface is designed to provide a restrained automotive appearance without an overly coarse or decorative pattern, making it suitable for seat cushions, backrests, armrests and coordinated interior panels.

Black, grey, brown, beige and other automotive colors can be developed according to project requirements, with grain depth and gloss level adjusted to suit different interior styles.

1.2mm Construction with Recycled Leather Fiber Backing

The 1.2mm construction gives XZ73205 more body than lightweight terry- or knitted-backed automotive leather. Its recycled leather fiber backing forms a more substantial supporting layer beneath the PVC surface, providing a firmer hand feel and improved dimensional support for structured upholstery panels.

This construction is particularly useful where buyers want the material to maintain a flatter, more controlled panel shape during cutting and installation. Compared with highly stretchable textile-backed materials, it is better suited to applications where excessive elongation could cause panel distortion or seam misalignment.

Because the backing is more substantial, tight-radius wrapping, folded edges and multi-layer seam areas should be evaluated during sampling before bulk production. For seat and interior production, the main considerations include material body, dimensional stability, seam handling and edge finishing. Depending on the finished component, customers may also specify requirements for abrasion resistance, tear strength, seam strength, peel strength, heat aging and color stability.

Material Matching for Structured Upholstery

XZ73205 is better suited to projects that require material body and dimensional support rather than maximum stretch.

For larger seat panels and relatively flat interior sections, the recycled leather fiber backing helps maintain a more controlled shape during cutting and assembly. For tighter curves, folded corners or complex seat transitions, physical samples should be tested to confirm whether the 1.2mm construction provides the required forming behavior.

Samples can be evaluated through the customer’s actual cutting, sewing and upholstery process before bulk production.
