Basket Weave Texture for Custom Motorcycle Seats

XZ73649 features a distinctive basket weave embossed pattern formed by interlaced geometric lines. Compared with conventional pebble or litchi grains, the woven-style texture creates a stronger decorative appearance and gives motorcycle seats a more customized, dimensional look.

The pattern works particularly well on seat center panels and contrast sections, where the woven texture can be combined with plain, fine-grain or perforated motorcycle leather.

Motorcycle seat materials need enough flexibility to follow curved foam structures, narrow saddle sections and stitched edges without becoming excessively bulky.

The 0.8mm construction provides a practical balance between material body and wrapping flexibility, while the terry fabric backing adds textile support during cutting, sewing and seat installation.

Backing weight, stretch and material flexibility can be matched according to the shape of the motorcycle or scooter saddle and the customer’s upholstery process. XZ73649 is suitable for motorcycle seats, scooter seats, custom saddles, seat center panels and decorative saddle upholstery.

Motorcycle seating is exposed to repeated rider movement, friction, outdoor temperature changes and continuous tension over curved foam surfaces. Depending on the project, requirements such as abrasion resistance, tear strength, seam strength, heat aging, color stability and backing stability can be matched according to the customer’s finished-seat standard.

Material Matching for Saddle Projects

Pattern scale, surface finish, backing structure and material flexibility can be adjusted according to different motorcycle and scooter seat designs.

For seat center panels, the basket weave pattern can be used as a decorative focal area. For full saddle wrapping, backing flexibility and stretch should be matched to the curvature of the foam seat so the material remains controlled during sewing and installation.

Physical samples can be tested through the customer’s actual cutting, sewing and saddle-wrapping process before bulk production.
